My visit to the Art Nouveau Centre in Ålesund was a thorough study of light, materials and history – perfect for photographers seeking authentic expressions. The warm woodwork characterises the atmosphere and forms a harmonious backdrop for the intricate details in silver, gold and enamel, which I focused on in particular. It is precisely these small, handmade everyday objects that bring the spirit of Art Nouveau to life.
