About
My name is Lukas Klein, and I’m 29 years old. I grew up in a small village in northern Germany, and my connection to Norway began during a family holiday in 2007. The dramatic landscapes left a lasting impression on me – the fjords, mountains, and deep sense of calm sparked a dream of one day making this country my home and spending more time immersed in its nature.
In 2024, I finally took the leap and moved to Ålesund after many summers spent traveling through Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Starting a new life abroad has been both challenging and rewarding. The closeness to nature, the connection with my guests, and the rhythm of everyday life here constantly remind me why I chose this path – to live freely and on my own terms.
I hold a degree in Media and Art Studies, which deepened my interest in architecture, culture, and the way people experience places and stories. During my years at university I realized how important meaningful human connections are to me, alongside pursuing a creative path in life. As a guide, my greatest joy is giving people a genuinely memorable experience and helping them feel like a local for a day.
I enjoy sharing my passion and knowledge in a personal and relaxed way, making sure every guest feels welcome, comfortable, and engaged. For me, it’s not just about showing places – it’s about creating moments of connection, curiosity, and joy that stay with people long after their time in Ålesund has come to an end.
